Adopt Tina

Tina, a dog and Atlanta pet of the week Tina, a 3-year-old spayed Cairn terrier mix, is a spunky little dog that came to the Atlanta Humane Society from another shelter. She is friendly but is a bit shy at first, so she will need a small, structured environment to more quickly adjust to her new home. She will need obedience training and house manners, but like most terriers, she is eager to learn. These hardy dogs love to play, and often become adept retrievers. They like to do tricks and perform. Chasing small animals is instinctual, and they can be noisy.

If you love a terrier’s nature and enjoy a dog that will keep you on your toes, then Tina may the perfect companion for you. There is no information about whether she lived with children or other pets, so bring the whole family to meet her. Tina has had her DHLPP vaccinations and has been dewormed. She will be available today at the Atlanta Humane Society, 981 Howell Mill Road N.W. Adoption will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The humane society is open for adoptions 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends.

Meet some of Tina’s friends who also need a forever home. Or check out the cute pets available for adoption at Clayton County’s Animal Shelter. Also, consider adopting from an Animal Control location near you.
